Amanda Hill v Melbourne International Shooting Club [2022] FWC 1412

Our client, Amanda Hill was awarded financial compensation after succeeding in her claim against her employer that her dismissal in September 2021 was not a “genuine redundancy” but was, in fact, an unfair dismissal.

There are not many cases that deal with what amounts to a “genuine redundancy”, so this decision may assist employees in a similar position in the future.
